I’ve noticed the same thing in my area. We’re new out here, and I’m about to have our first baby, so I thought I’d try to meet people “like me”. I think what happens is that a lot of these mom’s join for the social aspect, but are also struggling to “work at home” with these businesses and end up bringing it with them.

In my first week of knowing these ladies I got invited to Discovery Toys, 3 Mary Kays, Tupperware, and some sort of ****** Toy party. Only once did someone actually ask me to “hang out”. Otherwise it’s all parties. Needless to say, I don’t keep in touch anymore. Plus, the group wanted to charge annual dues!!

I’ve had better successes at my church meeting just normal people who want nothing for me, and don’t see me as a referral for a party.

It’s frustrating, but I do believe it’s possible to meet young mom’s/women who want to do more than sales parties.

It is a well known facts by successful home business operators that “Specializing” or “focusing” with one group of people is wiser than to try to deal with the entire Internet.

For example if you go to submit your web site to google they don’t just let you submit it but they ask you what Category your business goes in?

Is it sales or health related?
Is it automotive etc..

So they have categories.

So the groups that focus on women are wise to do so as most folks that work from home are successful women.

I suggest downloading a neat little handbook, it’s free and it shows what business pay better than others. Not to get you depressed but scrapbooking for example was not even in the top 50. Cosmetics was better though but not the #1 home service/product on the list. A little tip to make your search faster. When you go to the web site below you’ll see a graphic of some Umbrellas.

When you click those umbrellas you can download the handbook without having to enter any info. But to answer your question I believe the moms clubs idea is pretty wise considering most folks who do home businesses are moms Not a bad Idea I reckon
